It's finally here... I just took my last final and I'm finished with school for the year.
It's been a crazy year... but when all is said and done, the events that have happened have been much needed. It's a very surreal feeling; having things come to an end before you have the chance to process what is actually going on. I think the writers of The Wonder Years put it best when they wrote, "Growing up is never easy. You hold onto things that were; you wonder what's to come. But that night, I think we knew it was time to let go of what had been, and look ahead to what would be - other days, new days, days to come. The thing is, we didn't have to hate each other for getting older; we just had to forgive ourselves for growing up."
So now it's time to close a chapter and start a new one. This summer will be good... a remedy to fix this past school year and start over.
In reflecting on this past school year I can't help wonder where all the time went. True, my job consumed a great amount but I can't help but feel like it passed by me in the blink of an eye. But maybe it's better that way... I'd much rather gloss over the mediocre memories with better ones to come.
This summer will be good... I'm excited for all that is in store :-)
